Trick of the Week: Rubber Band Magic Trick

Updated: Oct 21

Welcome to this week's dose of mind-bending magic! I'm Jono, and I'm here to bring a little mystery into your week. I have a little rubber band magic trick for this instalment of Trick of the Week, all I need are two simple, everyday objects: a blue rubber band and a red rubber band.

I love this type of close-up magic because it happens right in front of you, with common objects you might even have in your pocket. There are no mirrors or smoke—just sleight of hand and a bit of theatrical misdirection. But the real magic happens when you bring this level of personal, immediate entertainment to a social gathering.

Why hire a Close-Up Magician for your next event?

  • The Ultimate Icebreaker: Nothing gets people talking and laughing faster than watching the impossible happen a foot from their nose. A magician instantly creates a fun, shared experience.

  • Walk-Around Entertainment: Unlike a stage show, I can mingle with your guests—at a cocktail hour, corporate reception, or wedding—ensuring everyone gets a chance to see the performance without pausing the event.

  • A Memorable Experience: Guests remember entertainment that is tailored, interactive, and personal. A skilled magician doesn't just perform tricks; they create moments of wonder that your guests will talk about long after the event ends.

Looking for a unique way to elevate your next corporate event, private party, or wedding in and around the Glasgow area? Contact me today to discuss how I can bring the wonder of close-up magic to your guests.

Check back next time for another Trick of the Week and more illusions to keep you guessing.
